What is the longest lasting 2 stroke dirt bike?

Question by Justin P: What is the longest lasting 2 stroke dirt bike?
I need a long lasting, least maintenance, and most reliable 125 2 stroke bike. I’m not doing anything serious, just some trail riding, some casual riding around, and a few tracks/ jumps a year. Ive heard suzuki makes the longest lasting, but im not sure. I have also beenrecommendedd to get a yamaha. Please help, thanks!

The one you buy the manual for and maintain per the service schedule. The one you keep in its original configuration without modifying thinking you are smarter than a Japanese or German engineering graduate. The one you read about and follow the written recommendations for. That is…as long as it is not made in China, then, all bets are off.

Along the same line as molitor. The four Japanese makers are so close in quality. But, maintenance is the real key to longevety.

stick with jap bikes and you really cant go wrong with reliablity really, like the other to guys have said keep it maintained and you wont have a problem, let it warm up for a minute or two before riding as well and dont give it redline trashing from start give it a about 5 mins to fully warm up before doing that n you should be okie

Agree with Molitor. The Japanese four, plus KTM. Maintenance is the real key. Four strokes last longer though. Nothing lasts long that I ride.
