Question by Emily: What era of music are the The Strokes modeled after?
The band The Strokes have an older, garage band kind of sound and I was wondering what era of past music are the related to. Thanks

They copy from every era, mostly the 70’s though. I’d say a mixture of the 70’s and 90’s.

    Actually Julian Casablancas and The Strokes is strongly influenced by Lou Reed’s vocals and rhythm in The Velvet Underground, you can actually compare them.
