Swimmers,What kind of stroke gets rid belly fat?

Question by Castaway: Swimmers,What kind of stroke gets rid belly fat?
What do the different strokes do for you?
I don’t need to lose weight, I just want my abs to be more proment.
How do you do the fly?

Fly works on your abs and therefore will probably reduce body fat, but if you’re swimming intensively and regularly, any stroke should make you lose weight. I swim and have trouble gaining weight.

Edit: If you don’t know how to do the fly, you shouldn’t start learning it just to work on your abs. Try doing crunches or sit-ups instead. It’s much exhausting, time consuming and more effective.

any will get rid of fat, and most will work your abs too, so when the fat does go away you’ll have a nice stomach too…but any stroke works as long as you do it often, not just 3 times a month

Definatley fly. It works your abs. And you are using all of the muscles in your body, especially the stomach to make you go forward and out.

How do you do the fly? Well you bring your arms up over your head. And keep your legs together.

theres also swimming drills that really build up your abs. this is on the ground when you’re not in the water. you lay on your back and lift your legs about 6 inches off the ground. keep them there for a minute or two. you should also kick while theyre off the ground. its reallllyyy hard. but you can feel it immediately when you start doing it.

There is no local fat metabolism in human physiology. That is, you burn fat globally not locally when you spend more calories than you take in. There is not effective way to burn fat only on your belly. Either you burn fat everywhere or you don’t. However, you can get stronger abs by exercising, so the most effective way would be dolphin kicks, and to lose fat swimming interval training is king.
    I hope this helps.
