How do I start a two stroke motor without a pullstart?

Question by Sam: How do I start a two stroke motor without a pullstart?
I recently took a two stroke single cylander engine out of a leaf blower that was missing some blades, but I didnt realize that I couldn’t use the pullstart with it out of the casing. I can’t get it to start and I don’t know how to start it to tell if it is infact the starter or a problem with the engine.

Try a high speed drill and a socket, I’m not sure which way to turn it but it should tell you if you got spark,

Try an electric drill with a adaptor on the flywheel.

A socket that is a little too big for the nut with some pieces of rubber inside it (cut up motorcycle tire etc.) on an impact gun has worked for me in the past.
